Diaper cakes are a traditional gift or centerpiece for a baby shower. They consist of layers of disposable or cloth diapers wrapped in baby blankets, ribbons, and/or bows. They may also have an assortment of other baby decorations and gifts attached to them like baby booties, infant socks, rattles, pacifiers, stuffed animals or baby wash products.
Diaper cakes for baby showers can be incredibly intricate, or very simple. Ideas for diaper cakes can come from the nursery pattern the mother-to-be has already chosen, from the baby’s gender or the family’s hobbies and interests.
